I think it depends on the company and how they use it but, GPS tracking can be used for constructive purposes and GPS tracking could be mishandled.

I own a trucking company and we stay away from GPS tracking. I know many companies have gone to it to track speed, distance drove, and other vital system information, however the courts are also able to subpoena these records and fine you for excess of speed or other laws broken from as far back as they request. Its wrong in my opinion, sure its best not to break the law in the first place but its my opinion that the easier our lives get the more we can be tracked. :(
